I am flabbergasted that people are asking for a tutorial. It's a one button game, have some curiosity.

I am enjoying this a lot, especially so once I come back, after using a revive potion, and have to avoid enemies until I get rearmed.

This is pretty neat, and cruel! The spacebar is a pretty clunky key to use for jumping, is there another option? You have a nice way of teaching the player they can jump on enemies in the second screen they appear in, which is a thoughtful touch.

Lots of great ways to interact that I haven't explored before. As soon as the sparring started I was feeling the sunshine, and I think a beltscroller with that control scheme could be really neat.
